Freak Show

This project is a photographic series inspired by a childhood memory, a memory that I had kept guarded for a long time.

Dealing with the queer theory, the series takes the perspective of the restrictions of gender and looks at how these can make us feel misplaced. The narration uses the theatre curtains to represent different scenes of the secret.

This work has allowed me to revisit corners of my memory that were totally forgotten and now finally I wanted to share, revealing some of my oddities… my private freak show.

Este proyecto que toma forma en una serie de fotografías, surge de un recuerdo de infancia. Un recuerdo que nunca

antes había contando.

Tratando la teoría queer, desde el punto de vista de las restricciones de los papeles de género y cómo estas pueden hacernos sentir fuera de lugar, este proyecto narra a través de un telón de teatro, diferentes escenas que muestran

un secreto.

Este trabajo, me ha permitido revisar rincones de mi memoria que tenía totalmente olvidados y que ahora quería compartir, mostrando así una de mis rarezas… mi freak show privado.
